The consequences of historical environmental degradation and social inequality are increasingly visible in our society. These consequences are detrimental to the economy and social stability in the short, medium and long term.

It is within this context that the integration of ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) factors has been steadily gaining importance in the financial markets, particularly in terms of risk management, performance optimization, and as a means of addressing the issues at stake. This development, which initially focused on publicly listed companies, continues to gain momentum and is now being extended to SMEs and other organizations.

Antoine Tremblay

Founder, President

Father of four, lover of nature, the outdoors, and sports in general, lawyer. After more than 30 years of practicing corporate law as both inside companies’ counsel and private practice partner, and motivated by the desire to leave his children and future generations a socio-economic environment where life is good, Antoine decided to redirect his career and founded Vironsogo. He now wishes to devote himself exclusively to ESG and sustainable development consulting.

He has always taken a keen interest in the major socio-economic issues facing Quebec and the rest of the world. For many years, he has been interested in the scientific, economic, social, psychological, and legal issues surrounding climate change and social inequalities. He has devoted a considerable number of hours to reading, reflecting, and discussing these issues with those around him and numerous specialists.

Antoine has developed and given several lectures on climate change to the legal and accounting communities. He has also continued to learn about sustainable development issues from Harvard University (Sustainable Business Strategy) and the CFA Institute (Certificate in ESG Investing – in progress).

Today, Antoine helps Vironsogo’s clients in developing their ESG strategies, and in designing and implementing practical, value-added ESG policies and measures that benefit all stakeholders.

Prior to founding Vironsogo in 2023, Antoine practiced corporate law at Québecor (1992-2001), Heenan Blaikie (2002-2004), Lafortune Cadieux (2005-2013) and Morency (2013 to present).

He has been a member of the Barreau du Québec since 1992 and holds a law degree from the University of Montreal (1991).

Social Involvement

Antoine is involved in a number of causes:

Board member of Cyclo Nord-Sud, a non-profit organization whose mission is to recover and repurpose unused bicycles for the benefit of disadvantaged local and international communities.

Member of the Centre québécois du droit de l’environnement (CQDE), a non-profit organization whose mission is to put its legal expertise at the service of citizens and to the environmental protection.

Member of Les Shifters Montréal, a group of people concerned about climate change and its consequences, who want to take concrete actions to decarbonize our economy.

Member of the Mères au front organization, a group whose mission is to bring together mothers, grandmothers and allies to carry out mobilization, education, and awareness-raising activities in support of environmental protection.

Volunteer coach since 2017 with the La Prairie hockey and baseball associations.

ESG Risk Management Consulting

Advice on ESG risk management and business opportunities to boards of directors, executives and management teams. The advice covers particularly the climate change and its various impacts, greenwashing and reputational risk, and the risks arising from the supply chains.

ESG Policy and Strategic Advice

Advice, design and implementation of impactful ESG strategies, policies and measures adapted to your business. Depending on your needs, our services are provided with the support of our network of specialized professionals and subcontractors. These services include:
